The design solution proposes a lifespan, and universal design intended for a late 40's male, with a spouse and 3 dependent children. As required by the client, all spaces are separate, and no open concept was utilized. The intended location for the project is in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The design concept revolves around the separate elements which make up the eye. Each element and their function, is mimicked in correlation to all the different functions of a typical house. Mimicking nature, the multiple layers of the design work together to create the perfect provision of private and public, while delivering a clear connection to the outside world.
The design solution proposes a condo design intended for a mid 20's female. The design concept is derived from the client's passion for the finer things life has to offer, and therefore inspired by a high end luxury watch. A such, the design solution revolves around the separate elements which make up a watch.
The overall design aims to mimic the gears of a watch. The spatial relations of the design are intended to follow the four points of a clock, and the respective activity related to that time frame. The curvilinear nature of the design allows each space to flow into the next. The overall design aims to provide a luxurious living solution while providing spaces for both play and rest.
