The design concept revolves around synapse, which refers to the translation of information between neurons. In this Acute Care environment, the cooperation between Diagnostic and Surgical departments is maximized through design to increase effective communication, integral to the success of its operation.
A progressive disclosure way-finding strategy was created for this design. Simplified signage solutions with tactile floor plan integrates braille and sensory icons to begin the navigation for patients and visitors alike.
